The USPTO examines applications rigorously and publishes them for 30-day opposition. Registration provides nationwide protection for 10 years, renewable indefinitely. For Indian businesses selling on Amazon US, exporting to American markets, or planning US market entry, a US trademark is not a luxury — it is a prerequisite for marketplace brand gating and customs enforcement against counterfeit imports.

Any individual, partnership firm, LLP, private limited company, or corporate entity—whether domestic or foreign—is eligible to apply for trademark registration in USA.
