What is the minimum number of partners for an LLP?

An LLP requires a minimum of 2 partners, of whom at least 2 must be Designated Partners under Section 7(1) of the LLP Act, 2008. At least one Designated Partner must be a resident Indian.

Is there a minimum capital requirement?

There is no statutory minimum contribution. The default at incorporation is ₹1 lakh, but the LLP Act permits a contribution as low as ₹1. Contribution may be in cash, kind, or intangible property; non-cash contribution above ₹5 lakh requires valuation report under Rule 16 of LLP Rules.

What is the difference between RUN-LLP and FiLLiP?

RUN-LLP reserves the proposed LLP name for ₹200 - valid for 3 months. FiLLiP is the incorporation form that includes name reservation, partner details, contribution, and linked AGILE-PRO-S for PAN/TAN/GSTIN/EPFO/ESIC/Bank.

Is the LLP Agreement compulsory?
